Full-Time Training - Testimonies

When I was in my junior year in high school, I went to my first weeklong Bible conference given by Witness Lee. It was there that the Full-Time Training was introduced to me. When I saw so many young people enjoying the Lord, within me, I knew that that was what I had longed for. I didn't make a vow that I would go to the training, but I was captured by the thought of being in such a Christ-filled atmosphere for a long period of time.

The Lord prepared me throughout my high school and college years for the Full-Time Training. I continued to pursue the Lord with other young people by going to meetings, conferences and trainings (2Timothy 2:22). The Full-Time Training was becoming my goal for after my college graduation.

The semiannual conference one year prior to my graduation was another turning point in my life. I saw that a tremendous price had been paid to produce the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and I realized that I probably wouldn't be seeking after the Lord today if it weren't for this ministry. Consequently, I realized I had to consecrate myself to the Lord for at least two years in order for Him to train me that I too might be useful to Him. Therefore, I promised the Lord that I would go.

However, during my last semester in college, I got distracted with school and work and other things, so that I hardly made it to any of the meetings and conferences. The things of the world were becoming more attractive to me. I was spiritually dying and becoming so dry within that I felt quite empty. As my college graduation drew near, I began to consider again about the Full-Time Training. I remember that one afternoon at work, while sitting at my desk, I realized that I could not go on in living without experiencing growth in life or knowing what the Lord desires to do on this earth. Little by little, the Lord shone within me and spoke within me about going to the Full-Time Training where I could learn the truths of the Bible and grow in the divine life. With much encouragement from my companions in the Lord and other believers, I made a decision to go to the Full-Time Training.

The experiences I have had in the Full-Time Training are indescribable. The training has given me an appreciation for the books of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and has created hunger within to come to the Word. My view of my life's goal has been redirected toward God's purpose. I have gained a strong feeling from the Lord to contact people and help them enjoy the Lord and His Word. My eyes have been opened to see what God's heart's desire is for man. I have learned to exercise my spirit to have fellowship with God. The Full-time training has provided the atmosphere of a “greenhouse” in which I have continually gained Christ's riches (reference) that I could grow and be filled with Him that I may be a functioning member in His Body.
